Abstract :
One of the current trends in most armies of the world is to reduce the size of the military, but this may cause serious problems in manpower for equipment support. To resolve this problem, the best way is to make use of non-military resources in the form of contractor support. This paper discusses the necessity and feasibility of using contractor support for new-type equipment based on the requirements for adapting the Chinese military to high-tech war, the requirements for achieving transformation in military affairs and the requirements for civil-military integration in equipment support.
