Abstract :
In this paper the results of experimental and analytical research of FBG with a defect in a periodic structure are given. This technology is very convenient for demultiplexing and add-drop applications in optical networks, because it allows to obtain the considerable extension of channel density, i. e. to improves the performance of data transmission systems. The analysis of FBG with a defect by solving the Helmholtz equation is proposed
