Abstract :
In this paper, an planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) working at UHF band for handset system is proposed. Miniature size is realized with dimensions of 100mmÃ10mmÃ2mm while the antenna has an omnidirectional radiation in the H-plan and a moderate gain for communication. In the process of design, the antenna´s characteristics are analyzed by commercial EM software-Ansoft HFSS v.10. The key parameters are optimized and good characteristics have been achieved.
