  • Abstract
    Quality, Reliability, Risk, Maintenance, and Safety are key concerns in industries including aviation, nuclear, and petrochemicals. Industries spend millions of dollars to address these concerns every year. Yet accidents such as the Fukushima nuclear power plant crisis 2011, the 2010 Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill, and the 2003 Northeast Blackout still occurred. Today, more than ever, Quality, Reliability, Risk, Maintenance, and Safety are issues that must be addressed for all engineering systems. There is a growing demand for components, systems, and installations with high reliability and long life.
