We present the performance of the multiple-quantum-well and Franz-Keldysh electroabsorption waveguides as an integrated photodetector/mixer for frequency conversion of RF signals. The InAsP/GaInP multiple-quantum-well waveguide exhibits a low phase noise and large SFDR conversion
