Abstract :
Most important quantity of rotating machine is the acting mechanical power and the most important method to measure it is measuring the torque directly on the rotating shaft and measuring the rotational speed. We will go into the measurement using strain gauges and the structure of strain gauge torque transducers. Analysis the structure of the grinder is possible for measuring torque with strain gauges on it. Design of the torque transducer will be used with strain gage (SG). The implementation of the transducer will be executed in this research. The calibration of the transducer with Spider8 PC measurement electronics, block diagram of the measuring chain, main points of the measuring software using catman®Express software, measurement accuracy and test the transducer with simulated load. The software associated with computer-controlled measuring equipment determines whether the system function is user-friendly. The software is an integral component with many tasks to perform, affecting every aspect of the measurement process.
