Abstract
In this paper, the efficiency of the conventional two-level and three-level grid-connected inverter for the photovoltaic (PV) generation is analyzed. And the DC-link voltagepsilas influence on it is also studied. It can be seen that when the inverter does not control the gridpsilas frequency and voltage, a conventional three-level inverter has higher efficiency than that of a conventional two-level one, which is responsible for the better characters of lower withstand voltage devices.
