  • Abstract
In this paper, Laguerre polynomials as the temporal basic functions are applied to efficiently solve the time-domain integral equation. Transient response computed by modified EFIE with MOD algorithm using RWG basic functions, which inherits the stability from the MOD algorithm using Laguerre polynomials, is accurate and unconditionally stable for analyzing the antenna structures. However, the presented method costs much less CPU time than the general MOD algorithm, when number of degree in the polynomials is large for more accurate and stable results. The solutions are independent of the time step as well as the degree of the weighted Laguerre polynomials
