Abstract :
The automatic collection and database management system for feature information of ordnance maintenance materials can resolve some problems such as: imperfect feature information, laggard acquisition methods, disordered data management and so on. Based on the material catalogues and related military standards, the normalized management database of feature information was built for maintenance materials. The feature information of maintenance fittings including 3D shape, aspect dimensions, quality and raw material, were collected and recorded by 3D laser scanner and other accurate electronic apparatus. The feature information management system was developed to provide information management functions that involved information preventive maintenance, system inquiry, data statistics, character identification and material classification. The army unit application proves that this system can promote the informatization and automatization for materials management and support of ordnance maintenance.
