Abstract :
In this paper, we analyze the efficiency of the parallel finite difference time domain (PFDTD) code on the IBM BlueGene/L platform. We present the results of numerical experiments that demonstrate the fact that the efficiency of the PFDTD code on BlueGene/L can be 90 percent better even when using a large number of processors. We also discuss some techniques for increasing the I/O bandwidth when dealing with a large output data set, as for instance in the case of a large-size phased array antenna
