Abstract :
Planar near-field scattering measurements ranks among one of the promising methods for determining the radar cross section (RCS) of complex targets. It requires, however, very long scanning time, especially for electrically large scale. A novel technique, which is named self transmitting and receiving (STR) is proposed. The measuring time is reduced greatly in the light of this method. The results of a conducting plate and a conducting cylinder show the validity
