Abstract
This paper proposes a new approach for computing the solution of integral equations in the frequency domain for electrically large objects. The approach applies the low frequency fast inhomogeneous plane wave algorithm (LF-FIPWA). Aside from overcoming the limitations of the multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA), it also offers the possibility of considering layered media. The paper describes some new aspects of this implementation and alternative algorithms
