Abstract :
The information provided by the APD measure of an interference source can be utilized for performance estimation of digital radio receivers that is subjected to the same interference. Furthermore, emission requirements on electrical equipment can be defined by the levels of the APD. However, these procedures require that the APD should be measured in a bandwidth equal to the bandwidth of the radio receiver. For practical purposes, it would be very valuable to be able to convert the measured APD from one bandwidth to another bandwidth. In this paper three interference source models are proposed additive white Gaussian noise AWG, pulse modulated additive white Gaussian noise AWG and pulse modulated sinusoid signal in con unction with AWG. These models have been shown to be applicable for many types of interference sources. A method of converting the APD to different bandwidths for these interference models is presented.
