  • Abstract
A description is given of the use of the entity/relationship model to model the data structures, data flow, process structures, and control flow in the planning, production and disposition of steel products. The purpose of the modeling is to rationalize the operational processes and to provide more information on these processes. The model also serves as a base for the generation of a technical software design from which both programs and databases can be generated. The discussion covers the project background, modeling prerequisite and process, and model validation
