Abstract :
Based on graphical hardware processor, a visual method of infrared image generation in real time is proposed. Four parts including target geometrical model, temperature distribution, infrared radiation computation and atmospheric attenuation are used to generate the infrared image step by step. The target can be modeled with CAD software using facets and every facet´s temperature is changed in real time by interpolation method. When the advantage of the graphical processor is utilized, the visual radiation calculation can be carried out quickly. Finally under the consideration of the atmospheric attenuation, the infrared image is generated.
