Abstract
A passive low pass filter employing surge suppression components has been designed and developed. The filter exhibits excellent attenuation features to RF energy in the EMP dominated frequency band and has the capability to handle the current surges specified in MIL-STD 461D. The paper presents the design procedure of such a filter together with the results obtained
