Abstract
Numerical analysis methods of mesh reflector antennas incorporating RF characteristics of the mesh surface are required for accurate performance prediction of mesh reflector antennas. In this paper, the periodic method of moments (MoM), which uses Rao, Wilton, and Glisson (RWG) basis and testing functions, is applied and combined with the extended physical optics (PO) to simulate the mesh surface with complex wire structures. All the analyses are performed at the frequency of 20 GHz for future application of mesh reflector antennas for satellite communications antennas in the Ka-band
