Abstract :
In this paper, a broad angle reflectarray is designed which can scatter the normal incident wave to a large angle (up to 60°) from the normal direction of the planar reflectarray to eliminate the blind areas of the base station in wireless communication scenarios. In our research, a novel individual element which is composed of a dipole with interdigital gap structure printed on a single-layer substrate is used to construct the reflectarray. Only one degree of freedom is introduced to extend the phase range of the unit cell to more than 1000°. Furthermore, a reflectarray with a large scattering angle is designed to eliminate blind spots in communication between the base station and mobile users.
