Abstract
This paper presents the application of well-established design patterns known as Observer and Singleton in a holonic control notification mechanism that aims to make agile the modern production systems. Initially the article shows a concise background and the benefits of using design patterns and holonic manufacturing systems. Subsequently presents the holonic control architecture, identifying the points to apply the patterns. To show the efficiency of the patterns in architecture, is presented in this paper a simulator built in Java.
