Abstract
A rotating cylindrical electrode experiment, with cylindrical Couette flow, has been used to simulate flow electrification in an electric power transformer. A simple model relates the terminal open circuit voltage and short circuit current to the charge redistribution by the flowing fluid. Sample measurements of the volume charge density in the oil and the terminal quantities are found to be in qualitative agreement with the model
