Abstract
In this paper a non-uniform conforming mesh generator, developed using a combination of Matlab visual capabilities and the computational power of Fortran code, is described. The developed mesh-generating package can produce all the necessary input data for finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) Maxwell´s equations solver, operating for the fields and geometry in a 3D cylindrical coordinate system. The FDTD solver is specially modified to handle conforming cells close to the surfaces of metallic objects. Such an approach, known in the literature as the contour path method makes it possible to accurately model smooth curved surfaces
