Abstract :
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) associated with solid state switches in AC power switching applications has been studied. Commercially available solid state switches were tested for its electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and observed that the conducted emission from the switch exceeds the limits of international EMI standards. An EMI free solid state switch has been designed and tested for various EMC standards of conducted emission (CE). The design considerations, performance of the switch and the EMI test results are discussed
