Abstract :
The technology for realizing the inference engine in mobile agents should posses the many qualities: the most important quality is the compact size as the mobile agents are supposed to traverse the network without stealing much of the available bandwidth. Firstly, this paper presents a survey of technologies that can be used for realization of inference engine in mobile agents, satisfying the quality mentioned above. The survey includes many competing technologies like fuzzy logic, prepositional logic, predicate logic, production rules, etc. Secondly, this paper introduces array-based logic as an efficient technology for realizing inference engines. Finally, this paper presents a case study on the application of array-based logic.
