Abstract :
Aiming at the inherent drawbacks of the traditional numerical control system based on industrial PC, the embedded numerical control service system based on Ethernet/Internet puts forward in the paper. The new system is constructed as a dual-CPU numerical control system, in which the ARM is defined as multi-machine NC management server that serve sharable functions for scheduling and execution control of machine tools, while the DSP can solve problems of high real-time demand by means of DSP´s good real-time motion control function. The paper also introduces the hardware and software design in detail. The remote control and monitor was implemented based on B/S pattern. The result shows that this system has many advantages, including fully utilization of NC resource, reduce the system hardware scale, facilitate application development, cut down the costs, promote the system´s reliability and ensure the real-time performance.
