Abstract :
This paper deals with description of stochastic production of power in photovoltaic power plants and its impact on the distribution power grid. Stochastic production of power from these sources is characteristic for its hardly predictable and substantially dynamic course. That is due to its strong dependency on weather conditions, especially sunshine. The aim of this survey is to assess the extent, to which these sources may affect changes to the active power at certain points within the power grid.
