Abstract
Modernisation of the armed forces is an ongoing process, wherein new and better radio equipment is being fielded in the sphere of communication. In the case of armoured fighting vehicles (AFVs) various technologies are being used in the state-of-the-art radio communication equipment being offered for fitment on them. There is thus a need to first monitor the various parameters of the radio equipment in the laboratories and thereafter subject the equipment to environmental evaluation in a manner realistic to the envisaged operational scenario. This paper endeavours dealing with the procedures for testing such radio equipment during electromagnetic environmental evaluation
