Title :
Pitch Manipulation for Dual Band Helical Antennas
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
This paper demonstrates a method of designing helical antenna using the pitch manipulation method. A dual band antenna operating at both 900 MHz and 1900 MHz has been designed. By associating the helix turns to the electrical length, one can easily change to a different set of helix parameter set. This method should reduce the number of cut-and-try for designing helical antenna. Using the same method, multi band helical antenna have been designed for UHF/GPS and VHF/800 MHz applications
