  • Abstract
    Aiming at the present geological field data collection problems, the paper applies the mobile GIS technology to the process of traditional geological data acquisition and proposes a new collection process programs. The system which is integrated by the new process programs is developed on the VC.NET platform, using Windows Mobile technology and MapX Mobile software development kit. The system achieves a mobile terminal acquisition system which consists of collection, display, query, edition and other functions. The system provides the industry with a complete geological field data collection solution. In the last part, the paper makes a conclusion of the research achievements and the problems and analyses the priorities and prospects for future research.
