Abstract :
A new very simple design approach to Linear Phase Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters is discussed with the help of Legendre Polynomials with a special transform. This approach can be used to design a FIR filter with arbitrary characteristics and exact linear phase. Some design examples are discussed to illustrate the performance of the proposed method.
