  • Abstract
    In this paper, a microstrip multilayer antenna sub-array for conformal array antennas is presented. A novel single-feed proximity coupled circularly polarized antenna, operating at 3 GHz, is proposed as the element of the array. A sequential rotation technique is adopted for the design of the array in order to increase the axial ratio bandwidth. Simulation results are presented and discussed. The array is also experimentally investigated, producing measurement results in good agreement with the simulations.
