Abstract
Several designs for small-size microstrip antennas are examined through simulation and experiment. Designs are presented based on a subdivided square microstrip patch with slots along the length and/or the width of the patch. This antenna presents a size reduction of about 46% when compared to a conventional microstrip patch.
