Abstract :
Combining the aperture coupling theory and transmission line theory, this paper discusses the issue of the electromagnetic field penetration through apertures to a cavity and coupling to a two-wire transmission line in the cavity. On the apertures, based on the equivalence principle, equivalence sources are obtained by using the Galerkin´s method. Then, by employing the so-called Agrawal coupling formulation and the Baum-Liu-Tesche (BLT) equation, the semi-analytic solutions of the load response of the two-wire transmission line in the cavity is obtained. Numerical examples are constructed to demonstrate the validity of this technique.
