Abstract
This article introduces a study of tapered slot antennas with ultra wideband applications. The contribute of this work is double. Firstly, a novel low profile, planar UWB antenna has been presented. Secondly, from this design, a novel differential -fed UWB antenna has been developed. The possibility of having a differential feeding structure is very useful since it permits to simplify the design of the RF Front -End. The proposed antennas have also the advantage of being small and planar, which allows to be integrated in mobile devices. In this work the parameters that mainly affect the ultra wideband behaviour of the proposed structures have been analyzed.
