Abstract :
Rainstorm waterlogging is one of the most frequently occurring hazards for most cities in China, which causes a great impact to urban life and social development. To perform rainstorm waterlogging disaster simulation, based on the advantages of remote sensing, an alternative integrated model was presented from hazard assessment, vulnerability assessment and exposure analysis on the basis of meteorological and hydrographic and other professional knowledge, combining Global Position System(GPS) and Geographical Information System(GIS). and the basis of investigations of various data and mathematical models and empirical formula of urban storm strength. The model was validated with historical storms record in Guiyang and satisfactory result was attained. Finally, Some reasonable suggestions for the risk planning and management were given.
