Abstract
This paper describes the design idea of a decentralized Battery Management System with the communication between cells over power line. First part of the paper shortly summaries the Battery Management System (BMS), differences between centralized and decentralized systems and explains the main target of this project. Next parts deal with the implementation of a simple decentralized BMS and communication between battery cells. The particular circuits could be interpreted as design ideas for the final implementation or for further work. Last part summaries the project and discuss the project results.
