  • Abstract
    With the development of Web 2.0 and the expansion of Virtual Reality technology´s application, the technical standard of 3D Virtual Graphics based on the XML (Extensible Markup Language)-X3D was proposed by Web 3D Alliance. It is proposed the feasible model of Virtual Reality Geographic Information System which based on Browser/Service structure, through a large number of researches on the current application, include Browser/Service structure, Virtual Reality technology and GIS. And this paper suggests the organizational structure of the spatial data and database construction based on Browser/Service. In this thesis, the author put forward to the future direction of research and development which based on the prototype of Web Virtual Reality GIS.
