Abstract :
Grid technology enables to solve large-scale problems in science, engineering, and commerce. In Grid environments, the resource is usually geographically heterogeneous and geographically distributed. The management of resources and application scheduling in such a large-scale distributed environment is a formidable task. In this paper, we describe a new autonomic agent-based storage management (called ASM) for Grid data resources. We designed service matching scheduling algorithm that can automatically mapping the application to the appropriate Grid data resource, associated with the function of virtual name space agent, storage abstraction agent, autonomic storage management agent, and consistency/authorization agent. It leverages existing technologies and provides additional services for Grid resource aggregation and management.
