Abstract :
A novel feeding structure using substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technique for dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is presented in this paper. After making studies by simulations for the proposed SIW fed DRAs, the antennas are fabricated using standard PCB process and measured by vector network analyzer (VNA). Measured results which are quite accordant with design results are presented. These feeding structures have small losses, low costs, compact sizes and can be seamlessly integrated with planar circuits
