Abstract
In this paper, the stability analysis of a VCR servo system is developed in the discrete time domain with nonlinear analysis of the limiter effect. As a result, we can find rigorous stability criteria that were not known by the conventional linear continuous approximation method. In addition, gain tuning methods that can assure stable operations of servo system are also presented
