Abstract :
This paper describes control algorithm of step-down DC/DC convertor for battery charging and diagnostic station. Because of high currents up to 100Amp and high number of connectable cells driven independently by two-step balancer, high level of stability of charging/discharging current and voltage transient response is required. Appropriate improvements of conventional discrete proportional-integral regulator algorithm are proposed, discussed and evaluated. Conclusion contains measured transient responses of described regulator during common operation.
