Abstract :
A special mixed-order finite element is constructed. Based on the electromagnetic scattering principle, using these mixed-order prism elements, the finite element method is applied to the analysis of scattering by a deep open cavity. In this paper, the mixed-order prism element is elaborately described. And the example shows that the convergence rate of this method is rather rapid for the deep open cavity with regular cross section.
