Abstract
Efficient and secured transmissions are necessary to ensure proper data protection and transmission speed. Compression and encryption techniques are used to meet these requirements. Fractal geometric is one of the techniques that can combine both compression and encryption together. In this paper, we introduce a new idea of combining image compression and encryption based on fractal geometric. Presently, the fractal encryption and compression are done individually. This compression-encryption is proposed to satisfy a fast and secure image transmission. We propose to convert Mandelbrot set and compressed image into square matrix. The image is compressed by using Iterated Function System (IFS). Then, matrix operation is applied to encrypt the image. The preliminary results, both theoretical and experimental are encouraging.
