Abstract :
Novel TL DC-DC Converter is proposed, which utilized four series connected switching device and two blocking capacitors to provided middle electrical levels. The voltage stress on each switch is Vin/2. Three levels can be applied before output inductor, and as a result the value of output inductance can be reduced to 1/2 compared with traditional Full Bridge DC-DC converter. With output frequency double control the value of output inductance can be reduced 50% further as conventional TL converter. The principle of operation and the dc characteristics of the new converter are analyzed and verified on a 100W experimental prototype.
