Abstract :
There are some light-shade stripes on the multi-spectral TM image of LANDSET 5 author got which covers a part area of Shanghai, China (1744*1709 pixels, Jan 24, 1998), which influences the use of the TM image. The light-shade stripes, which are also called `band effect´, come from the de-striping process of TM image by a moment matching method. The de-striping plan was proposed which Fourier transform was combined with the optimization methods for input and output image. The experimental result demonstrated that the plan is feasible and it was realized that light-shade stripes on the TM image were removed and the textural difference between the original image and restored image was minimized and the high frequency information remained intact.
