  • Abstract
    With the development of satellite constellation in various Earth Observation missions, it becomes more and more important to provide remote sensing users with data acquisition request service by using the online system for satellite observation planning. In this paper, the shortcoming of current data acquisition request systems is discussed, and then an online system for satellite observation planning is proposed and developed to improve the efficiency and success rate of data acquisition request service from remote sensing users. The key technologies of such an online system are described in detail and a prototype system is also well tested. The result shows that the online system, with a high running efficiency, is able to make online real-time analysis of multi-satellite observation requests and to provide a fairly good support of satellite instrument programming.
