Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel two-amplitude control strategy for the active clamped resonant DC link inverter. By the scheme of the two-amplitude control strategy in conjunction with the dual-loop control strategy, in which the current loop adopts the three-state hysteresis controlled discrete pulse current regulated modulation, it can decrease the DC link losses and reduce the output voltage harmonics. Without extra power supply, the energy dissipated in the circuit can be supplied by input DC voltage source with shorting the bus voltage. The balance of the clamping voltage can be realized by regulating the big-amplitude turn-off current. The operating principle and control strategy are analyzed in detail and verified by the simulation results
