Abstract :
Undesirable sustained oscillations in V/Hz controlled PWM inverter-fed induction motor drives are often suffered under light load and in the low frequency region. These oscillation states vary with motor parameters, the inverter parameters and the operating conditions. In this paper, we propose a new stabilizing control method which is effective and simple for suppressing oscillations of V/Hz controlled induction motor drives. This method is not affected by the parameters of the motors, the inverters and the operating conditions, and is suitable for general-purpose induction motor drive systems. Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the validity of this proposed stabilizing control method
