Abstract
The key challenge in enterprise information technology is meeting the needs of changing business practices in a rapidly changing technological environment. The author describes an IT implementation approach based on the OMG´s Meta Object Facility. The designer expresses the required system as a high-level model and then uses meta-model based tools to generate software for a variety of implementation technologies. We describe DSTC´s progress to date and outline some challenges that need to be addressed
