Abstract
Considers how the Statemate range of tools from i-Logix provide an alternative approach to design that ensures much tighter controls over all the stages of the process, and also including automatic code generation that can speed up both software and hardware aspects of the design. By initially creating a graphical representation of the system in Statemate, i-Logix users can model the system specifications and verify that they conform to customer requirements. The tools incorporate full requirements traceability. The high level nature of these tools allows visual models to be produced that can be shown to the customer before the more advanced stages of design are begun
