Abstract :
Qualitative analysis of some environmental factors in red tide monitoring region of Lianyungang sea area were accomplished. Based on the analysis results, clear and cloudless MODIS remote sensing data on October 3, 7, 10 in 2006 were chosen to extract red tide information by applying band ratio method. Firstly, some necessary pre-processing such as geometric correction, bowtie correction, atmospheric correction and image resize were discussed. Secondly, reflectance spectra of red tide water body and water body with no red tide on pixel scale were extracted from MODIS image and difference between them was analyzed in detail. Thirdly, spatial distribution information of red tide was achieved based on MODIS data through band ratio algorithm and the area was computed by GIS spatial analysis module. The research will provide technique support for large scale and quickly mastering red tide hazard domain and accordingly taking proper measures.
